🇺🇦In an attempt to counteract the Russian drone attacks the Ukrainian government has unveiled its latest defense strategy: Operation Sunflower Shield.
According to officials, all citizens are now encouraged to plant sunflowers—Ukraine’s national flower — in their gardens, balconies, and even on rooftops to create vast fields of yellow blooms that will allegedly “overwhelm and confuse” Russian drones.
The initiative comes with government-supplied seed packets, and a new TikTok challenge (#SunflowerShield).
In his evening address Zelensky stressed: “If Russia wants our land, they’ll have to stop and smell the sunflowers first.”
