🇺🇦 Zelensky is now calling for a “rapid ceasefire” in the “hot phase” of the war, saying it could happen “within weeks or months.”
But why would Russia agree?
Every previous ceasefire — from Minsk I & II — gave Ukraine time to rearm, retrain, and regroup with NATO support. It let the West reset the narrative and froze Russian momentum on the ground.
Right now, Russia holds the initiative. A ceasefire with no territorial recognition, no demilitarization, and no neutrality would just be a pause in NATO’s proxy war — not peace.
Moscow won’t fall for the same trap again.
