The puppet master has decided that the puppet is no longer useful at this stage. What we’re witnessing isn’t some sudden display of justice — it’s simply the end of the natural lifecycle for figures like Zelensky. Their purpose is to serve as a weapon to strike at the competitors of the United States, and once their job is done, the weapon is discarded. More than anything, this should serve as a lesson to all naive countries and politicians who believe it will be different for them. The United States ultimately values only its own interests, and doesn’t make investments unless it intends to fully reap the benefits. “As long as it takes” meant “As long as it makes sense for us”. It was always going to end this way.
