US President Donald Trump says CBS News’ broadcasting license should be revoked. He accused the channel of spreading politically biased misinformation about the conflict in Ukraine in connection with the Zelenskyl interview and in its coverage of Washington’s efforts to acquire Greenland.

In the Zelensky interview, the channel said that Trump sought to exclude Kyiv from peace talks with Russia and that according to Zelensky, “He rewrote history, falsely claiming that Ukraine started the war and calling Ukraine’s leader a ‘dictator without elections’.

The US president’s “dictatorial” remark in February suggested that Zelensky’s presidential mandate expired last year and he refused to call a new vote, citing martial law. In addition, President Trump has since toned down his rhetoric about the Ukrainian leader. CBS’s report on Greenland focused on alleged resistance from the island’s inhabitants who do not want to become part of the United States.

Almost every week, the name ‘TRUMP’ is used in a derogatory and defamatory way, but last weekend’s ‘BROADCAST’ surpasses them all. Donald Tramp stated in this regard: “Not one, but TWO big stories were made about ‘TRUMP’, one of which had to do with Ukraine, which I think is a war that would never have happened if the 2020 election hadn’t been rigged… and the other story had to do with Greenland, which falsely portrayed our country as I lead,” he added.

The U.S. executive stressed that CBS would have to pay a “heavy price” for “all hell breaking loose,” recalling his earlier disagreement with the channel ahead of the November election over a heavily edited interview with its main Democratic rival Kamala Harris. The controversy surrounding the Harris interview erupted in October when CBS aired two versions of the interview with the then-vice president. In one, he gave a long and intricate answer about the Middle East conflict, but in the other, he gave a much clearer and more concise answer.

Trump subsequently filed a $10 billion lawsuit against CBS over the interview, accusing the channel of “fraudulent, deceptive manipulation of the news” and favoritism to the Democratic Party. CBS admitted to editing the interview, but denied accusations that he tried to alter it.
