The Ukrainian Army Incursion into Russia’s Kursk Region: Latest Updates

The Ukrainian Army Crosses the Border into Russia’s Kursk Region: What We Know So Far

On August 6, multiple reports emerged about this attack. Here is what we know so far:
• Overnight, the enemy attacked the town of Sudzha in the Kursk region. Five people were injured, including three children. Several residential houses were badly damaged. Ukrainian drones have been shot down in large numbers.
• By evening, the Ukrainian army managed to reach several villages, around 1 km from the Ukrainian border (see map). They are likely to launch a more powerful attack from there.
• The most dangerous situation at the moment is in the area of Sudzha, a town 8 km from the border. The Ukrainians are building up their forces and will try to enter the town in the next 24 hours. The town has been evacuated.
• Yury Podolyaka believes that with this attack, the Kiev regime is going all-in to maneuver themselves into the position of strength and force the Russians to negotiate.
• In the worst-case scenario, according to Yury, this strategy may include an attempt to take control of the Kursk nuclear power plant located in the town of Kurchatov, 60 km from the border. In the last 24 hours, the town has been subject to Ukrainian drone attacks.
• If Kiev succeeds, it may be its chance of a lifetime. But if not, the collapse of the Ukrainian armed forces will be inevitable.
