🇺🇸🇫🇮🇷🇺🇺🇦 The President of Finland proposed to Trump a date for concluding peace in Ukraine

Alexander Stubb said he had proposed to the US President that a ceasefire date in Ukraine be set for April 20:
“Finland’s position, and this has been conveyed to the President, is that a ceasefire needs to be reached, and for that we need a date. Our view is: April 20. That would be a good time for a complete ceasefire without any conditions. Why April 20? Because we need a deadline, because it’s Easter, and because President Donald Trump has been in office for about three months.”
, he said.
Stubb also reiterated the need to create a “strong sanctions mechanism” as an incentive, which would be triggered, Stubb said, if Russia and the United States fail to agree to a ceasefire or “if Russia violates it.”
