🇷🇸🇪🇺 Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, following a dinner with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen:
Serbia will be more committed to the European path than ever before. In 7 to 8 days, the EU will announce Jadar [Lithium Mine] as its strategic project.
The latest public opinion poll on Serbia’s accession to the EU shows that 43.2% of Serbian citizens are against EU membership, 38.9% are for EU membership and 17.9% are undecided.
As for the prospect of the EU owning and running the Jadar Lithium Mine, the overwhelming majority of the Serbian public are against lithium mining in the country.
President Vučić’s statement will not be received warmly by the majority of the Serbian public.
