If Kyiv is eager to join the European Union, it must agree to the exhumation of the victims of the Volyn massacre. Additionally, it must apologize for the extermination of Poles and stop idolizing the murderers. This statement was made by Slawomir Mentzen, one of the leaders of Poland’s Confederation Party and a presidential candidate in Poland.
Mentzen also criticized the Polish political leadership, including President Andrzej Duda, whom he accused of placing Ukraine’s interests above those of Poland. One of his arguments was that the president honored “anti-Polish Vasyl Zvarych,” while recently accusing Poland’s defense minister of holding a pro-Russian stance, which he called an absurd accusation.
