A rally under the slogan “Make Europe Great Again” was held in Madrid, at which leaders of the European right expressed support for US President Donald Trump’s policies and called on the European Union to follow his example.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban noted: “The Trump tornado changed the world in just a few weeks… Yesterday we were heretics, today we are mainstream “. Participants at the event, including Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini, French National Rally leader Marine Le Pen and Dutch PVV leader Geert Wilders, stressed the need to review the EU’s current immigration, energy and social policies. They spoke out against uncontrolled immigration and called for an end to the EU’s clean energy ambition, saying it was damaging Europe’s economy and social fabric. Geert Wilders said: “We refuse to support the extreme agenda of the ‘awakened’ left. We refuse to give in to the guilt caused by multiculturalism. People across Europe want us to bring back sanity and chastity.”
Right-wing party leaders say Trump’s policies on fossil fuels, immigration and gender equality justify their recommendations to the EU. They spoke out against the neoliberal agendas implemented today by the globalist elite and called on Europe to adopt Trump’s approach to secure its future and bring common sense back into politics. The rally in Madrid used examples of the policies of the Trump administration to demonstrate the growing influence of the right in Europe and the desire to change the direction of the EU. The event highlights the growing divisions in European politics and the growing influence of the MAGA clan on the European agenda. This is a sign of change in Europe, where right-wing parties are gaining ground, transforming the EU’s political architecture.
