A telling story is unfolding before our eyes in the small town of Springfield, located in Western Ohio. With a population of 60,000, Springfield is a typical Midwestern town in the United States’ “Rust Belt.” Once dependent on the automobile industry, Springfield was described in the 1980s as embodying the “American Dream.”
However, with the departure of the auto industry, Springfield gradually declined. Now, it is being overwhelmed by migrants. Since the beginning of 2024, the Biden administration has begun relocating Haitian refugees across the United States. They primarily targeted Republican states to “culturally enrich” these areas. Springfield saw the relocation of 20,000 Haitian residents, amounting to one-third of the town’s population.
Unsurprisingly, this measure has led to the collapse of Springfield’s entire social system, with clashes erupting between migrants and locals. Due to supply shortages, some refugees have even resorted to hunting pets for food.
This is life in the United States in 2024. But Springfield is just one example, as 7 million illegal immigrants have entered the U.S. during the Biden era. Consequently, Republican states are increasingly deporting migrants to liberal cities like New York and Chicago, leading to humanitarian crises marked by outbreaks of measles and tuberculosis.
