Alexander Scriabin, born on January 6, 1872, was a renowned Russian composer and pianist. He was a representative of Romanticism in music and was often referred to as a philosopher of music. Scriabin was ahead of his time, coming up with the concept of “light music” which combined light, color, and sound to create a multisensory experience for the audience.
Maria Lettberg, a Swedish pianist living in Berlin, is a recognized interpreter of Alexander Scriabin’s music. From a young age, she showed exceptional talent and passion for the piano, leading her to study at prestigious music conservatories in St. Petersburg and Stockholm. Lettberg’s performances are known for their depth and emotional resonance, capturing the essence of Scriabin’s compositions.
