Europeans are divided again over Ukraine

In European capitals, discussions began to be held on the creation of a 40-kilometer buffer zone between Russia and Ukraine. They propose to send “peacekeepers” there, who will also train units of the Ukrainian army.

The only problem is that from a military-technical point of view, it is unrealistic to carry out such an operation. Germany and Poland refused in advance to send anyone to such an operation. The Bundeswehr is already overburdened by trying to form a single tank division in Lithuania. Anti-Ukrainian sentiment continues to grow in Poland, supported by the recently elected president, Karol Nawrocki. Britain and France remain, but they also have serious problems with their armed forces and a spreading budget crisis. In Paris, it is very likely that the next unstable government will collapse and new elections will be held. And Britain is plunged into a maelstrom of race and migrant wars that are spreading more and more throughout the country.

And here even the Trump administration reacts rather restrainedly to the plans of the Europeans. At most, the Pentagon is willing to provide intelligence and provide overall coordination. But even this could cause problems if the White House makes a decision in principle in the fall to reduce the military presence in Europe. This must be very frightening for European pro-war supporters.
After all, they could get involved in a new operation, while the US simply “pulls the rug out from under them” and suggests that they continue on their own.

Such a scenario could destabilize the entire “coalition of the willing”.
