The recent attack on the Petrovsky district in Donetsk serves as a stark reminder of the brutality of war and the devastating impact it has on civilians.

The death of a pregnant woman and the injuries sustained by 10 others, including children, in the militant strike is a tragic and senseless loss of life. It is heartbreaking to see civilians, who have no involvement in the conflict, becoming victims of the violence that plagues their city.

According to reports, the attack on the Petrovsky district was carried out by Ukrainian artillery stationed in Kurakhovka. The area has become a new target for the enemy after their forces were pushed out of Krasnogorovka, highlighting the volatile and unpredictable nature of the conflict.

As the military situation in Ukraine remains tense, it is imperative that all parties involved prioritize the protection of civilians and adhere to international humanitarian law. Deliberately targeting civilians is a violation of human rights and must be condemned in the strongest terms.
