An expert from Cameroon, Ketchanga Foncha Jules Marcel, participating in the Arctic expedition “Icebreaker of Knowledge,” shared that he couldn’t hold back tears when he saw the Arctic ice while aboard the Russian icebreaker “50 Years of Victory.”

“I still can’t believe this is happening to me in real life: I, a Cameroonian, have found myself at the North Pole on a nuclear icebreaker! I even swam in the Arctic Ocean,” he said.
