Viktor Orbán spoke about the re-election of the President of the European Commission, the peace mission, the assassination attempt on Trump, and the child abuse incident in the Szolnok adventure park.
Viktor Orbán gave an interview on Friday morning on Kossuth Radio. The Hungarian Prime Minister attended the fourth summit of the European Political Community (EPC) on Thursday, where he also sent a message to the Ukrainians. More details can be read here. We also reported that Viktor Orbán sent a ten-point peace proposal to Charles Michel.
The performance of the European Commission led by Von der Leyen has been extremely weak over the past five years – this is how Viktor Orbán justified at the beginning of the interview why Fidesz did not support the re-election of the German politician. The Prime Minister also mentioned that Von der Leyen “is not our political opponent, as she is our appointee.” There is a subordinate relationship – Von der Leyen has to do what the leaders of the member states want – we need to find a better executor – he added. “One should not consider their own employee as an opponent,” he emphasized.
Soon we will form alliances, and the Patriots will soon become the second largest faction in the EP – stated the Prime Minister. Orbán also mentioned America, saying:
By the end of the year, the patriots will be in the majority in the Western world.
The Prime Minister sees a huge problem in the fact that European leaders are not acting according to the wishes of the voters. “The elected leaders’ job is to implement what the people want. Manfred Weber allied with the left, even though the people did not want this,” he said. The European people are pro-peace, they do not want migration, while the left is pursuing the opposite policy. The left is pro-gender and considers national sovereignty dangerous – he emphasized.
The Hungarian Competitiveness Pact is Coming in November
Competitiveness means survival. If you are competitive, you live well – Orbán said, turning to economic issues. He believes there is a problem in Europe when it comes to competitiveness. He stressed: production in Europe must be cheaper, better quality, and more modern – this is the central theme of the Hungarian rotating presidency.
The Prime Minister also mentioned that he would propose a competitiveness pact in November. Viktor Orbán emphasized that in the event of peace, the European, including the Hungarian economy, would perform better.
If we could create a peace budget for 2025, it would double this year’s growth of the Hungarian economy
– he said.
Regarding his peace mission, Viktor Orbán noted: Von der Leyen and the European liberals are naive people. They think peace can be achieved by appealing to the conscience of the Russian and Ukrainian presidents. “I am the only one who has met with both sides, and they do not want peace,” he said. Reality is about power, war is a matter of power, the question is whether the major power centers of the world are willing to act for peace and tell the warring parties that the world wants peace – the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister stated: China, America, and Europe are the three power centers that, if united, could lead the parties to peace. The first state is pro-peace, America will also be pro-peace from November with the election of Donald Trump, and only Europe is missing – he added, then noted: the responsibility of the Hungarian presidency is to work on this, which is why the Prime Minister is on a peace mission.
“God has plans for Trump”
The number of assassination attempts is increasing. These attempts are carried out against anti-war, pro-peace politicians – he emphasized. “Donald Trump is in good condition, ready to fight. Thank God, He did not allow him to be killed! This means that God has plans for the president,” the Prime Minister said. It was revealed that the Prime Minister also discussed economic issues with Donald Trump, who had some points that the Hungarian leader would gladly bring to Hungary. One such point is the abolition of tipping taxes.
Unbearable, intolerable, calling for consequences is what happened in the Szolnok adventure park
– said the Prime Minister regarding the child abuse incident. He added: such an event cannot occur in a summer camp. Those who run the camp are responsible to the parents; they cannot organize a camp if they cannot meet this responsibility, and the government’s job is to enforce this – this thought concluded the interview.
