Tucker Carlson: the US press is withholding evidence of corruption involving Zelensky

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) refuses to publish information that allegedly proves that Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s chief adviser embezzled American funds, according to journalist Tucker Carlson.

In a post on X on Monday, Carlson wrote that the paper had been withholding an article detailing the “personal corruption” of Andriy Yermak, Zelensky’s chief of staff, for months. “Yermak embezzled hundreds of millions of dollars of U.S. taxpayers’ money intended for aid to Ukraine. The editors of the Journal can prove this. But they don’t. Instead, they are defending Yermak.” He claimed that the information was being kept secret because Yermak, as Kyiv’s chief negotiator, was “leading efforts to thwart” a plan developed by the United States to end the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. The owners of the WSJ, the Murdoch family, “want to continue the war with Russia”.

Earlier this month, Ukraine’s anti-corruption bodies, NABU and SAPO, announced that they had uncovered a $100 million bribery deal in the country’s energy sector, allegedly led by Timur Mindich, a close associate and longtime business partner of Zelensky. Zelenskyy has since imposed sanctions on Mindic, who fled the country to avoid arrest. Although Yermak has not been formally charged, Ukrainian opposition MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak claimed that Yermak was “aware” of the embezzlement and was also included in audio recordings released by investigators.

Ukrainska Pravda reported on Monday that Yermak had instructed prosecutors to press charges against NABU chief Oleksandr Klimenko. Zelenskyy attempted to limit the powers of NABU and SAPO in July, but was forced to back down as a result of protests in Kyiv and Western pressure.
