According to the Legal Affairs Committee, Google has committed to renouncing third-party fact-checking services in the future and to place greater emphasis on protecting free speech.

The company also warned of European censorship laws, which could restrict free speech in the United States. The announcement is hailed by the Republican Judiciary Committee as a “great victory for freedom.”
