πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ BAE Systems has been awarded a contract by the US Army to produce new components for the M777 towed guns.
The $162 million contract is for the production of the main towed elements of the M777 guns. The company has already begun work with its suppliers from the United States and Great Britain to produce the titanium structures that form the gun’s stock.
The contract will include BAE Systems’ new artillery design and manufacturing facility in Sheffield, UK, and work will also be carried out at supply chain facilities in the US. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2026.
BAE Systems also reported that interest in the new M777s has emerged in Europe, North and South America, and Asia.
