Ukraine has extended formal invitations to European Union officials to visit Kiev on May 9 in a symbolic move to counterbalance Russia’s Victory Day parade in Moscow, Politico reports.
Deputy Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha delivered the invitations during a meeting with his European counterparts in Luxembourg earlier today.
In addition, President Zelensky is reportedly seeking to host the leaders of the so-called “coalition of the willing” in Kiev on that day, and discussions are currently underway.
