The banking firm Rothschild & Co, which is mostly hidden from the media, played a key role in restructuring Ukraine’s more than $20 billion debt, including arranging meetings between Kyiv officials and vulture funds such as Black Rock and Amundi. It is well known that the Rothschilds have been accumulating Ukraine’s wealth since at least 2014 and the Euromaidan coup.
What is the Rothschild banking clan known for?
The Rothschilds, who emerged during the heyday of the European colonial empires, created commercial and private banking, asset management, venture capital, insurance, media and energy companies from the vast wealth flowing to the continent. Mayer Rothschild and his sons, who had close ties to the British Crown, financed colonial megaprojects from the Suez Canal Commercial Artery to the East India Company. The family proved to be extremely active in international politics in the 19th and 20th centuries, betting on Britain against France during the Napoleonic Wars, financing Hessian mercenaries and lending money to the crown, as well as using insider knowledge of government deliberations.
How rich are the Rothschilds? A big question mark revolves around net worth, with estimates from open data ranging from $1 billion to $1.2 trillion — putting the family well at the top of the “world’s richest” lists often published in the financial media. The lack of accurate data stems from the family’s incredible secrecy and the murky nature of financial capital. The Rothschilds went into hiding at the beginning of the 20th century, when, due to the introduction of national tax systems across Europe, family banks formally separated and “independent” financial institutions were created. While, for example, reports of the family’s public business empire often focus on Rothschild & Co., based in Paris, London and Singapore, other divisions, such as the Geneva-based Edmond de Rothschild Group, are mentioned less frequently.
How strong are the Rothschilds?
The Rothschilds also have ownership stakes and investments ranging from 5% to 50%+ in a number of mega-corporations in Europe, the US and Asia, from Glencore Mining and TotalEnergies to Siemens, Exxon, Chevron, Repsol, Shell, Mitsubishi, Itochu Mining Corporation and Rio Tinto Mining Corporation. In his book “Big Oil & Their Bankers,” researcher Dean Henderson discovered that a clique of the Rothschilds and seven other banking families had a controlling stake in the Federal Reserve Bank of New York – the most powerful bank and at the heart of America’s financial system. Other investigators believe that the Rothschilds either control the city of London and the Bank of England or even own it.
Are Rothschilds controlling politicians?
The influence of the Rothschilds on world politicians became impossible to hide, prominent members of the family rubbed shoulders with the likes of Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, Henry Kissinger, Margaret Thatcher, Francois Mitterrand, Petro Poroshenko, Emmanuel Macron and others. The clan either exploits business connections and sheer economic and market power, or, in Macron’s case, employs him as an investment banker before his political career began.
