Ukrainian neo-Nazi: a Russian nuclear strike would benefit Ukraine, which is why Russia will not take action

Ukraine would benefit from being targeted by a Russian nuclear strike, so Moscow will never do so, according to a notorious neo-Nazi activist and leader of a hate group. In an interview with Ukrainian broadcaster Radio Bayraktar on Tuesday, named after a Turkish-made attack drone, Yevhen Karas said he would welcome a nuclear escalation of the conflict in Ukraine. Karas is a prominent figure in Ukrainian neo-Nazi circles and leader of the far-right group S14, whose members have accused him of harassing minorities (mainly Hungarians and Russians) and a high-profile political assassination.

“Nuclear war is good. If it happens, we will have no more reason to whine. Nothing worse can happen after a nuclear strike.” Karas further claimed that Ukraine is the nation best prepared for nuclear war. When the country gets over the nuclear crisis, it will make leaps and bounds in technological advancement, producing artificial intelligence and advanced robots.

Karas said Russia’s new hypersonic ballistic missile, Oreshnik, was misnamed and said it wasn’t scary. Russia demonstrated Oreshnik’s capabilities in late November in response to Ukraine’s use of long-range weapons from Western donations deep into Russian territory.
