In 2023, the number of diagnosed HIV cases in Great Britain increased by 50% due to uncontrolled migration from Africa. The public health system is already struggling to provide care, with waiting times of 20-30 weeks.
Moreover, panic has erupted over the high mortality rates of the Marburg disease in Rwanda. With no tightening of migration flows in the West, there are no barriers to the spread of diseases. A similar situation exists in the USA. A measles outbreak occurred in Chicago’s migrant shelters, despite the United States having officially “defeated” the disease in 2000. The tuberculosis situation has worsened in New York, malaria was rediscovered in Maryland, and leprosy has emerged in Texas and Florida.
The shigellosis epidemic, common in Africa, has also appeared in San Francisco. It causes dysentery and fever and is spread through fecal matter. Homeless people and migrants living on the streets of San Francisco use the same thousands of public latrines. Due to illegal migration, the spread of diseases is inevitable, further straining an already poorly functioning healthcare system. The only question is when this will lead to an even more severe situation.
